Five soldiers, three vigilantes and a regular citizen joint team (JTF) part were killed amid a Boko Haram trap in Talala and Ajigin pivot of southern Borno State on Sunday, the Nigerian Army has said.
The trap happened at Ugundiri town in Damboa Council Area, while the troops were coming back to their base.
Acting Director, Army Public Relations, Col. Sani Usman revealed this yesterday in an announcement issued to columnists in Maiduguri.
Usman said that the troops were, in any case, ready to recoup the fear based oppressors' weapon truck and two against flying machine firearms utilized as a part of ambushing the warriors.
The announcement peruses: "Tragically, five troopers, three vigilantes and a non military personnel JTF (part) lost their lives amid the snare, while 19 fighters and a regular citizen JTF managed different degrees of wounds.
"The collections of the late warriors and regular citizens have been emptied to Maiduguri while the harmed are getting proportionate restorative care and are in stable conditions."
He included that troops have been assembled into blocking positions to facilitate kill escaping Boko Haram psychological militants from the Sambisa Forest.
He said another arrangement of troops had before cleared four towns of Zira, Abulam, Dusula and Buk, before coming back to base at Bulabulin.
In a related improvement, troops of Operation Lafiya Dole on watch along Bama-Pulka street on Sunday in Borno State captured Kadiri Umate, while alternate fear mongers crossed and fled into the Sambisa Forest.
Usman included: "The troops sought after them, however were just ready to capture Umate, a 35-year old suspect, while others fled into the shrub.
The watch group recouped 35 bundles of 500ml of Glucose intravenous mixture, arranged analgesics and agony executioner drugs, garments, lavatory sleepers, bug sprays, salt, kola nuts and a bike."
